Tour Itinerary


Day 01: Arrival Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport our representative will meet you and transferred to hotel. (Check-in time 12 noon). Balance of the day is free to relax after a long flight. (O/N at hotel)

Day 02:  Delhi

 

After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Delhi . Visit Qutab Minar, India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President’s House , Mahatama Gandhi Memorial ,also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple, Red fort, Jama Masjid. Overnight stay in Delhi . Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in Delhi.

 

Day 03: Delhi - Mandawa

After early breakfast drive to Mandawa-- the open air art gallery of Rajasthan',It is famous for frescoes on the walls of havelis and forts depicting the life and valor of rajputs. Arrive at Mandawa & transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Mandawa.

 

Day 04 :  Mandawa - Jaipur

After a leisurely breakfast take a tour of the painted 'havelis' . The famous and must visit among all are Chowkhani Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli . Watch the splendour of almost 100 year old frescoes. Later drive to Jaipur - “pink city” of Rajasthan. Arrive Jaipur & transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

 

Day 05 : Jaipur

Morning excursion to Amber Fort.A amin attaraction is the elephant ride to the fort on elephant. Amber fort was constructed by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh.

 

CITY PALACE - A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture.It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

JANTAR MANTAR - This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments and is still in use.

HAWA MAHAL - The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Overnight stay in Jaipur

 

Day 06 : Jaipur - Agra

Early morning drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 to commemorate the birth of his son and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. On arrival at Agra transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Agra.

 

Day 07 : Agra

Visit Tajmahal at sunrise, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal as a symbol of undying and eternal love. Also visit the Agra Fort, containing the Pearl Mosque - the rusty and majestic red- sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna . At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Day 08 : Agra – Jhansi- Khajuraho

After breakfast transfer to Railway station  to board the Train for Jhansi.On arrival at jhansi our driver will pick up and transfer to khajuraho. Built within a short span of a hundred years by the Chandela Rajputs, the 10th century temples lay forgotten until they were discovered in the present century. Khajuraho has achieved fame for the sensual appeal of its erotic sculptures.  Evening at leisure.Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

 

Day 09 : Khajuraho

The fascinating temples of Khajuraho, India's unique gift of love to the world,  were built between 950 and 1050 A.D. The divine sculptures in these temples, are a tribute to Life and love. The murals depict the life and times of the Chandelas, and celebrate the erotic state of being. The temples are grouped into three geographical divisions : western, eastern and southern. After breakfast explore the Western, eastern and southern temples of khajuraho while your guide explains the intricate meaning and legends behind each describable sculpture. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

 

Day 10 : Khajuraho - Varanasi

After a hearty breakfast transfer to airport to board the flight to Varanasi-India’s most sacred and the oldest city situated on the  bank of the holy river Ganga. It is dotted with numerous temples and ghats and is arguably the one of the most religious places in Hindu mythology.  Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Evening view “Aarti” ceremony on the Ghats. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

 

Day 11 : Varanasi

Take an early morning boat cruise at the river Ganges- a unique way of seeing the life unfolding at the ghats of Varanasi and watch the sunrise. Later take an excursion to Sarnath--one  of the Buddhism’s major pilgrimage centre in India. After attaining enlightenment, the Buddha came to Sarnath where he gave his first sermon. .The spot at which the stupa stands is believed to be the place from where Buddha gave his forts sermon. Later drive  back to Varanasi . Overnight stay in Varanasi.

 

Day 12 :  Varanasi - Delhi

Morning at leisure, Afternoon transfer to airport to connect the flight for Delhi .On arrival at Delhi, transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure Overnight stay in Delhi.

 

Day 13 : Departure

Transfer to airport in time to board the onward flight.
